Hi, How Ya Doing?

First, I'd just like to say hello! and how excited I am to be a part of the MWLM team-on the blog and as Writer's Resource Editor.

Writing is my passion, it's what keeps me sane. That, and chocolate.

I'm looking out my window-the mountains are dotted with snow-quite pretty, the snow, I mean...from a distance. Shift to the front yard-there's about three feet of snow out there that, no matter how you look at it, has lost its charm, sparkle, with the realization that this three feet of snow could very well be here till the END OF APRIL.

I am so ready for spring....

Hi Kris. Welcome! I am a bit North of you up in the Montreal area in Canada. I don't even want to look out my window anymore. I think we will have snow on our lawn until June this year. When the snow-plows pass in our area, they dump the snow off the streets and back onto our lawns. We have a hill that is about 10 feet high in the front. In the back, we had begun keeping a path clean at the start of winter - you know for safety in case of a fire or emergency evacuation. We gave up. We now have a good 3 to 4 feet of snow in the back. We figure that if we need to jump out a window to escape the house, the snow will dampen the fall! Here's to Spring getting here sooner than later! Cheers! Lucie

Paula-I can't believe we are an hour apart! That's crazy!

Sam-I'm up for anything chocolate!

Thanks, everybody, for the warm welcome! Glad to be here.

Hi Kris (and everyone)! We are so happy to have you aboard. I wish you plenty of writing time and hope none of you get cabin fever.
I think Spring is here in Southern California. I have the planting bug and the waves looked enticing this past weekend.
But I envy you that snow (sometimes), especially on a Christmas Day when it's 92 degrees outside.
Speaking of Xmas, I got a cookbook with the most rich, sinful chocolate pudding recipe, Kris, let me know and I'll e-mail it to you!
I take chocolate like a prescription, certain times of the month ;-)

Kris,

Hi! Welcome to another Vermonter! We are about an hour apart from each other and yes, I too, am looking out my window at more than three feet of the white stuff! My kids and hubby are ready to fire up the snow machines and head off - the kids have another snow day today - YIKES! They are outside shoveling it right now :)

Thanks for your post and again, welcome :)

Paula

Hi Kris! Thanks for your post.

I wish I had snow in my front yard. No, not three feet. But here in the southwest, the front yard is now devoid of all life. It's a murky, crumpled, yellowish-brown, shaggy rug. The back yard, well, that's also without snow.

We're all soooo ready for spring! I can't wait. =)
